Synopsis

CAM systems for NC program generation for milling and turning operation. CAM system structure and new CNC technologies.

Goals of study

Acquaint student with functions and posibilites of a large CAD CAM system.

Course curriculum

  1. Modern CAD/CAM systems.
  2. Modeling in plane.
  3. Modeling in space.
  4. Work on asemblies.
  5. Model make-up and technological stock material explanation.
  6. Partprogram setup.
  7. Stock material a coordinate systém definition.
  8. Make-up of partprogram for milling operation.
  9. Use of different machining strategies.
  10. Simulation and make-up of partprogramm.
  11. Postprocessing and CL data.
  12. Generation of NC program.
  13. Verification of CL data and NC program.

Training course curriculum

  5. Optimalization of cutting - roughing.
  6. Optimalization of cutting - finishing.
  7. Verification of CL data.

  11. Cutting on CNC controlled milling cutter.
  12. Probe in CNC milling cutter.
  13. Comparison of results from CL data simulation and finished machined surface.
